Cornwall is celebrated for its dramatic landscape and rich heritage. We have produced Conservation Area Appraisals and Management Plans in the Kerrier area and in the city of Truro, that define the character of these areas and analyse how it can be preserved and enhanced.

Our work in Kerrier involved closely analysing the character of six conservation areas in Redruth, Plain an Gwarry, St Day, Helston, Porthleven and Breage, parts of which are within the Cornwall and West Devon Mining Landscape World Heritage Site. Our Management Plan for the cathedral city of Truro, produced in close consultation with stakeholders, detailed the type and extent of developments both permitted and desirable and included a programme of implementation to provide a positive approach to change. In both cases our recommendations, which incorporate public realm improvements, provide a blueprint for achieving the desired level of urban expansion whilst safeguarding character and enhancing the status and economy of the area.
