Whitechapel

High Street 2012 was a project that aimed to improve and celebrate the route that connects the City with Stratford, not just for two weeks in the summer of 2012, but as a legacy for ongoing regeneration.

The scheme addressed that part of the A11 that runs from Aldgate, through Whitechapel, Mile End and Bow, to Stratford. The aspiration was for a significant level of change that built on the many existing projects and adopted masterplans along the route, delivering urban realm, built environment and highway improvements.
