Guy's Campus at King's College London
Guy's Campus at King's College London
The Old Guy’s Hospital complex is one of the most important historic medical sites in London. Founded in 1725, it is part of Southwark’s long historic association with medical teaching and learning. Today, the complex is listed Grade II* and located at the heart of the Guy’s campus of King’s College London (KCL), home to the School of Biomedical Sciences, the Dental Institute and the School of Medicine.
As heritage advisors, we have been working with KCL and their design team on a series of major projects at the Old Guy’s Hospital complex, including the delivery of a major new museum—the Science Gallery. We have also helped with the creation of new spaces for the student union and the creative but sympathetic refurbishment of administrative spaces, ensuring the continued use of this important site as a teaching hospital that meets modern standards of comfort and security.
