Ward’s Corner
We provided structural engineering advice for this proposed development of this new-build scheme, which sits over Seven Sisters Underground station.
The site covers about 0.7ha and accommodates two and three-storey buildings dating from the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Its position forms an important transport hub, with bus routes, three nearby railway lines and the Victoria line.
The Underground station forms the key engineering constraint on the site and advised on how new structures could be built above the four station platform tunnels, the escalator tunnels and a ticket office that are all very close to the surface.
