Alan Baxter supported the Woodhall Estate in promoting their land at the edge of Watton-at-Stone, Herts for potential village expansion.
The Woodhall Estate is a traditional rural estate that has formed part of Watton-at-Stone and the surrounding area for many centuries. Watton-at-Stone has been identified in the draft East Herts District Plan as a sustainable village where growth can deliver community benefits. The village is surrounded by green belt and the location of growth and green belt release will be determined through the Watton Neighbourhood Plan.
We are working closely with local stakeholders to develop a scheme which is in keeping with the historic character and function of the village. Alongside a range of new homes we are exploring opportunities for small business units, modern day alms-houses, sports and other community facilities which will bring vitality to the scheme and continue the positive legacy of the Estate within the village.
