Trenton leads the transport and movement team within our urbanism group. He is passionate about creating vibrant, inclusive, and people-centred places based around sustainable mobility.
With a background in civil engineering and over twenty years’ experience of integrated urban planning, he is adept at tackling the complex movement issues that shape the places we live in.
Trenton develops movement strategies for urban regeneration schemes, masterplans, and neighbourhood plans. He designs public realm, streetscape, and interchange improvements and prepares transport assessments, travel plans, and design codes for new developments.
He also facilitates collaborative design activities, helping stakeholders and community groups to explore innovative ways of enhancing places and streets together.
His work spans a range of scales—from major urban renewal areas and the creation of new towns to fine-grain local street improvements and the development of individual buildings.
Trenton combines his public and private sector experience to address challenges in struggling places as well as areas experiencing rapid growth and change. He often rebalances busy traffic thoroughfares to create more human-focused environments and integrates new and historic buildings into a cohesive urban fabric.
