British Normandy Memorial

We are both structural engineers and contract administrators for Liam O’Connor Architects’ Memorial for the 22,442 British servicemen who died in the Battle for Normandy, in June, July and August 1944.

We are privileged to have been involved with this project of global significance for the very early stages of site selection right through to the implementation of the scheme overlooking the Normandy coast. The classically detailed stone structures are designed to withstand the elements on the exposed site and last as a solemn testament to the lost souls for generations to come.
