Old Oak & Park Royal Connectivity Study

Old Oak & Park Royal Connectivity Study

Alan Baxter provided a walking, cycling and public realm strategy for both Old Oak and Park Royal, working the architects 5th Studio and transport modelling consultant Martin Wedderburn.  Separately, with East Architects, we prepared a Masterplan for Scrubs Lane, at the eastern edge of Old Oak.

Old Oak Common is located in west London, with several rail junctions and surrounding depot land.  In the coming decades it is set to change dramatically as the site is strategically located for an interchange between Crossrail and HS2.  A development of 55,000 new jobs and 24,000 new homes will capitalise on this new transit hub.

We modelled the new street network to assess which links were key for the development and also responded to the strengths of the existing urban fabric.  There was also high level engineering feasibility work with regards to certain key locations.
