Trent Park

Trent Park

We prepared a Conservation Plan to support an outline planning application for redevelopment and inform the future management of the landscape.

Proposals for the redevelopment of Trent Park Campus were a key element of the strategy by Middlesex University to consolidate and expand its activities in north London. They involved the creation of an enhanced and expanded campus at Trent Park to provide teaching accommodation for approximately 6,300 students and 590 staff.

We produced a Conservation Plan with three key aims: to support the outline planning application for redevelopment, to inform maintenance and management requirements for the University and to identify potential projects that might be eligible for HLF or other funding. In addition, it served as a basis for the preparation and implementation of a landscape strategy, a historic landscape restoration and management plan, a maintenance and management regime for the historic buildings and partnership working and joint management mechanisms for improving communication between Middlesex University and key stakeholders such as the London Borough of Enfield.
