Hal joined us from Cambridge University, where he studied Civil and Structural Engineering. He has experience working on historic listed buildings in the public and private sectors.

These projects include large country estates and galleries of national significance. Recently, Hal has produced the stage 4 design for the extension of a Grade II* listed country house in Wiltshire. Hal helped to assess the poorly conceived historic additions to the original seventeenth-century house and support the justification for them to be dismantled and replaced with a more sympathetic structure.

At another private house in Wiltshire, Hal has supported our design works on various structures in around the grounds of the Grade I listed stately home. He has developed the scheme for a one-mile long new ha-ha structure and a below ground art gallery. He has also undertaken the detailed design of the extensive new pool hall and service wing to the Main House.

At the Grade II listed Fairhill House in Kent, Hal has produced the scheme design for a new underground car storage space. He is overseeing the delivery of superstructural works, which includes the demolition of modern extensions to the original building.

Hal has also taken a lead role in our recent work on the upgrading of gallery spaces at the National Gallery and the Victoria and Albert Museum.
