John has solved some of the most complex structural engineering problems we have encountered. His experience ranges from major new constructions to careful repairs of historic structures, appraisals and designs.

He now acts as consultant to our design groups and externally as an expert witness on complex problems. He also contributes significantly to the our training programme and its technical knowledge.

John has served on working parties for UK technical standards and guidance and currently contributes to the updating of European Standards.
