Michael has extensive experience of new buildings, reuse of existing buildings, bridges, roads and infrastructure. He started his career in contracting, before becoming a design consultant, first on bridges and subsequently on buildings. He contributes significantly to the overall direction of the practice, its quality management and training. He remains hands-on as a designer, overseeing and guiding the firm’s engineering projects.

Michael has supported the Association for Consultancy and Engineering through Board Membership and Chairmanship of their Membership Committee. He also advises the Normandy Memorial Trust on design and construction issues and serves as a Trustee of The Alan Baxter Trust and of built environment charities established by the professional practice.
