Zac is a Graduate Engineer who has joined Alan Baxter from the University of Bath where he studied Civil and Architectural Engineering. Zac has experience of working on new build and refurbishment projects in the public and private sector. These projects include museums, leisure centres, schools and industrial buildings.

Zac worked on buildings governed by services and plant during his year in industry inbetween his studies. He worked on hyperscale data centre projects across Europe from concept design to construction.

Since joining us, Zac has been working with the University of Greenwich on a project to decarbonise their Avery Hill campus. The works involve a series of new plant rooms and underground trenching to accommodate new plant and heat the existing buildings with air source heat pumps.

At King’s Hall Leisure Centre in Hackney, he worked on a condition report of the structure, identifying the need for essential repairs to keep the leisure centre operational. He also has experience of listed buildings from his work appraising the structure of the Grade I listed Museum of the Home in Hoxton.

Recently, Zac has recently helped deliver our Stage 2+ design for the British Museum SWEC East Road Building. As part of this, he investigated the various site constraints which govern the basement design.

Zac has a keen interest in sustainability in construction from his education in the design of sustainable buildings. He is using this to help shape the company’s design approach and methods.
