St John's Gatehouse and Church
We were asked to prepare a Conservation Plan by the Order of St John and St John’s Ambulance. These Grade I listed medieval buildings include the great gatehouse and the remnant of the church of the Priory of St John in Clerkenwell, which was once one of the wealthiest and most powerful religious houses in medieval London.
Our strategic Conservation Plan is helping to unlock the potential of these complicated buildings so that the follow-on masterplan can proceed with an intelligent and practical understanding of the significance and possibilities of these rare survivors of medieval London.
