University of Greenwich - Mansion Site at Avery Hill Campus

Surrounded by green spaces, the University of Greenwich’s Avery Hill Campus is located in Eltham, south-east London. It has teaching and sporting facilities as well as student accommodation. Avery Hill College, once situated on the site of the existing Avery Hill campus, was made up of two sites, Southwood and Mansion.

We provided structural engineering advice for plans plans to convert the University of Greenwich’s Mansion site in Eltham into a school for 1,150 boys - these were approved in October 2020. The historic mansion and adjoining buildings next to Avery Hill Park will be refurbished and turned into a school for the Harris Federation academy chain, with 1960s additions demolished and new facilities built alongside.
