Michael Bredin

BSc MSc

Associate

Michael works in our transport and movement team, and has a wide range of experience on projects including masterplans, town centre regeneration schemes, brownfield developments, urban extensions and rural estates.

He has a keen interest in broader issues and emerging best practice in transport, and the important role that efficient and sustainable movement plays for cities and the built environment.

Michael’s skill set is wide ranging, and his work has included transport strategies, transport assessments, transport modelling, travel plans, civils design for public realm, highways and cycle infrastructure, and transport research.

He has worked on projects during strategic and high-level stages, as well as through to planning, and also during detailed design and delivery. Michael therefore appreciates the full lifespan of projects, their feasibility, deliverability, and their ability to make real and meaningful change.

His work includes development planning, including the various planning submissions, design input, and engagement required in terms of the transport and movement elements. His work also includes highways and public realm schemes, including regenerating high streets.

Michael has also worked on larger scale projects, including area studies and masterplans, providing high level movement strategies for longer term change.

His work will always be undertaken with an understanding of a site’s broader ambitions, and with a focus on sustainable transport.
